Dear Customers / Suppliers
I would like to firstly thank you on behalf of GB Foam Ltd and also personally on
behalf of my family – due to your support and generosity we were able to raise £9,000
from the Charity Golf Day held in 2008.
As you may know, my father Clive Bailey, the founder of GB Foam sadly passed away 3
years ago from terminal bone Cancer, since then we have held an annual charity golf
day to raise money for the various charities / organisations that were involved in his
care.
In 2008 we held the golf day on behalf of the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home (IRHH)
IRHH is a registered charity providing specialist palliative care for terminally ill patients
in their own homes. Following referral by their GP or District Nurse, the “Hospice at
Home” cares for patients of any age suffering from life-threatening illnesses.
The primary aim of all Iain Rennie nurses is to provide a dignified and pain-free life for
as long as possible. The service is available 365 days a year and is offered to
patients and families free of charge – This is made possible through the support and
generosity of donations, legacies and fundraising. (Only 16% of the funds required to
maintain the service come from the NHS)
I would also like to pass on a big thank you from the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home.
After much discussion and consideration we have decided that due to the current
economic climate and challenging trading conditions everybody is currently
experiencing, that it would be best to postpone the Charity Golf Day for 2009.
We will be looking to run another charity day in 2010 and we will be in touch to confirm
the event and dates closer to the time.
